We really enjoyed our stay the apartments were beautiful, the view from the balcony was stunning. The best get away we have had in a long time! would highly recommend staying at this complex.

Fantastic place for a holiday. Very friendly staff, lovely room and lovely views.
Heated pool was great.

Good Afternoon,

My family and I stayed at Aqua Vista last weekend (February 2009) in the Sub Penthouse apartment. The views were absolutely stunning with sweeping views of the coastline from Old Woman’s Island through to Point Cartwright. The apartments were modern and lovely, however were unclean. There was pubic hair in the toilet off the foyer and hair in the Spa ensuite off the main bedroom, the ice machine did not work and proceeded to leak water over the tiles. There was a dry cake of soap in the second bathroom which had not been removed from the previous tenants. The main bathroom did not have toilet paper and there were three cigarette burns in the outdoor setting chair which in turn ripped my father’s new board shorts due to the wire on the chair.

There were black marks all over the once beautiful white walls and the white tiled floors were dusty and unclean. (not to mention the black footprints on the white tiles in the main bathroom also) The airconditioning was not functioning and this forced us to request fans. We approached Reception who advised they could not possibly fix the airconditioning on the weekend, and therefore advised they would supply fans as it was very hot. This was on Friday at 5pm. After 3 phone calls on Friday afternoon and approaching Reception on four occasions on Saturday, we finally got fans to cool down the room at 2:30pm, and re: the cleanliness of the apartment, a cleaner came up to the room to simply wipe up the pubic hair with a spray bottle and cloth and the same was done with the tiles and the hair in the spa. At no stage did we get an apology.

When my mother advised them of the damage caused to my father’s shorts, Jan (Manager) simply rolled her eyes at my mother, and I was shocked. As I do live in the area and absolutely love the pristine views that our home (the sunshine coast) has to offer, we often enjoy staying at lovely resorts. Never before have I ever endured such a stressful time, and the rudeness of the Manager astounded me. I was very upset and was actually reduced to tears on the forth occasion of approaching Reception, as they did not seem interested in simply rectifying the situation. I was also advised that if I did not want to stay another night, I had to advise them urgently in order for them to re-let the apartment. I couldn’t understand how they would want to re-let the apartment which had stains on my white carpet, no airconditioning, pubic hairs on the floor and dirty bath and showers. The windows were also filthy and would definitely not have been cleaned for at least one month.

I certainly will not be staying here again, and have assured all 5 people who witnessed this horror over the weekend that I will advise everyone about what we went through. I would not want anyone to go through want we went through. I even personally cleaned the apartment myself before my guests arrived as I was so embarrassed about the state of it. I will stay again if the Manager’s step down, as I am sure that no one else who Manages a business would do so with such carelessness and disregard for customer service and the poor treatment of a guest. I was advised that I would not be receiving a discount of any kind, even though we certainly did not receive what was advertised as a Sub Penthouse apartment at $400 per night.

I rate this hotel 2 and a half stars for cleanliness and 1 star for customer service. I rate the gorgeous views 6 stars. The car parks are also hard to get into, and it is impossible for two 4WD to park side by side!!!!!

Do not waste your time or hard earned money on this “5 star apartment”!!!!!

Great location - quiet, easy walk to Cotton Tree.
Apartments spacious and clean, well equipped and modern. Pool was great even in winter probably even better for summer. Great holiday apartments for all ages - will probably stay again.
